Widow arrested for plotting murder of Ekurhuleni police officer
Sibongile Prudence Dlamini, 42, was taken into custody after police say she orchestrated the killing of her husband, Constable Banele Sikhosana. The officer was shot dead on February 7, 2025, while delivering stock to his spaza shop in Kwa‑Thema. Dlamini was arrested during the funeral rites, crying hysterically in front of family. She and a co‑accused face pre‑meditated murder and conspiracy charges, but have been released on R10,000 bail. The case has shocked the community and raised questions about motives behind the crime.
